CPSC Recalled the Viessmann Vitodens Boilers due to Carbon Monoxide Hazard

The CPSC recalled the Viessmann Vitodens boilers due to carbon monoxide hazard. The Vitodens boiler heat exchanger backing can corrode and leak gases. This allows the boiler to emit large amounts of carbon monoxide, which puts consumers at risk for carbon monoxide poisoning. If you have one of the boilers impacted by this recall, please contact the installer or distributor you purchased the device from and/or contact Viessmann for a free in-home inspection and repair. If you continue to use the boiler while waiting for the repair, be sure to have working carbon monoxide alarms on every level of the home as well as in and outside every sleeping area.
