Recalled Models

The CPSC announced that the Whirlpool, KitchenAid and JennAir brand glass cooktops with touch control features have been recalled due to fire and burn hazards.

There have been nearly 140 reports of the surface of cooktops turning on by themselves, therefore posing a large risk for burn injury and/ or a fire.

If you have one of the impacted models, please turn the unit off by disconnecting it from the circuit breaker in order to prevent the unit from turning on while unsupervised. Contact Whirlpool immediately to arrange a free installation of a replacement unit.
